For professionals
International Tug & Salvage has entered its eleventh year of publication and remains unrivalled as the leading magazine for all those involved in the international tug, towage and salvage industries. Readers include tug owners, salvors and towage companies, together with professionals such as naval architects, engineers, tug builders and marine lawyers. It is a high quality, full colour publication with attractively laid out pages, contains a good selection of photographs and is written in a relaxed style to provide a quick and easy source of information. It is edited by Andy Smith, who has been with the publication since its launch. Other contributors include professionals from within the industry.

Editorial philosophy
The aim of IT&S is to provide an overview of the entire industry - covering the activities of the salvage and towage operators, the vessels used, the yards that build them, the specialist skills involved and the equipment employed. Careful attention is given to ensure that the content of each issue is evenly balanced to give every reader something of interest.

Editorial content
Uniquely dedicated to tugs and salvage matters, regular features form the core of each issue. These are backed by special features, some of which are planned in advance whilst others are included to meet the pace of development. Coverage is also given to AHTS and ROV vessels, which are often used in salvage, wreck removal and ETV operations.

Regular features
A substantial International News section not only covers topical incidents and developments but reviews important events of recent months. This is where contracts are announced, salvage operations reported and important towage stories described.
Every issue contains a batch of the latest New Orders, to keep readers up-to-date with who is doing what, and where. The vessels in question may ultimately be described in detail by editor Andy Smith in Tug Deliveries , which gives a technical description of each vessel around a colour picture. When a vessel warrants further in-depth exposure, the report may be expanded to form a Tug Profile with more detailed information and extra photographs.

New features include At The Helm , in which features editor Dawn Gorman talks to a key figure in the business about their career and the marine industry, and Eco-Watch , which looks in depth at the important environmental issues which are re-shaping the tug and salvage world.

Another regular feature is a specialist report on wheelhouse Electronics as applicable to tugs and AHTS ships. Many editions include a Legal page and 'extras' to look out for include Design , Propulsion/Engine Room developments, Products & Services and Management issues. Conference and Exhibition news is granted special attention when warranted by the importance of the event. Papers by experts on virtually any topic relevant to the industry are reproduced if of sufficiently broad appeal.
Supplements , which give a closer look at individual shipyards or companies working within the tug, towage and salvage field, are produced on a regular basis. If you would like us to consider doing one for you please contact us.
